The Oasis Apartments, an ambitious new project at 299 Milwaukee Street, is poised to bring a touch of luxury to the heart of Cherry Creek North. The development will feature 177 high-end residential units, 28,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor, and a 6,000-square-foot public park complete with fountains. It’s the kind of place where residents will likely spend more time choosing their rooftop poolside lounge chairs than worrying about their morning commute.

In a strategic alliance that began in April 2022, BMC Investments, a seasoned real estate firm, and Rockpoint, a private equity heavyweight, have teamed up to purchase and develop the site.

"We are thrilled to have secured construction financing from Bank OZK and begin construction on what promises to be a transformative addition to Cherry Creek North," said Matt Joblon, CEO and founding partner at BMC Investments. "This trophy-level apartment development will cater to residents seeking a premier living experience in one of Denver’s most sought-after submarkets."

The Oasis is designed to meet the growing demand for upscale apartments in Cherry Creek North—a demand that, according to some, could almost be considered an urban myth until developers like BMC step in. Amenities will include a rooftop pool (naturally), a fitness center, a resident lounge, and co-working spaces, because why shouldn’t the Wi-Fi be as fast as the views are stunning?

This project marks BMC’s fourth high-end multifamily development and twelfth project overall in the area, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to raising the bar in one of Denver's most desirable neighborhoods.

"We are excited to partner with BMC to bring this exciting development to life," said Aric Shalev, managing member and co-president of Rockpoint. "The location, coupled with its world-class amenities and proximity to premier retail, makes this the ideal spot for luxury rental housing. We’re confident this will quickly become a signature property for Denver."

Construction on the site is already underway, and vertical construction is slated to begin in February, with completion expected in early 2027. The Oasis will be designed by Shears Adkins Rockmore, an architecture and design firm known for its knack for blending form and function with just the right amount of flair. The Beck Group will handle the construction, ensuring that no detail is overlooked.

On the retail side, leasing will be led by JLL’s Sam Zaitz and SullivanHayes' Julie McBrearty, so you can rest assured that this isn’t just another set of vacant storefronts pretending to be trendy.

The announcement of The Oasis comes on the heels of another significant BMC project, the Fitzsimons Gateway in Aurora, a 210-unit affordable housing development, and follows the company's acquisition of a building in Cherry Creek North that will become part of the next phase of the Clayton Lane redevelopment (now rebranded as Cherry Lane). They’ve also recently completed 255 Filmore, a 100,000-square-foot office and retail building, cementing their role as a major player in Cherry Creek’s urban renaissance.

In short, if you’re looking for the sort of apartment complex where you can lounge by the rooftop pool, attend a networking event in the resident lounge, and never run out of artisanal coffee options downstairs, The Oasis is shaping up to be your next address.
